This is a fun event that I feel like not enough people know about. I suggest parking in the lot for the free hour and a half, hitting the restrooms near GGET before, and then making your way to the entrance and doing a full walkthrough before getting anything. The food was pretty good. We started with the chicken shawarma which was outrageous. We stopped to try the spicy garlic noodles which were good, I'm not a spice gal though. Then we made our way to the sugarcane juice and I got mine with watermelon which was super refreshing. We kicked into dessert mode and b-lined for the tanghulu which we were so excited to try but were disappointed- way too much sugar which makes it hard to chew and sticks to your teeth. BEWARE there are no prices listed.. we were like "can't be that much" so we didn't ask... nearly $10 each stick after they put it in your hands... Mumu made it up to us though- I recommend their Apple mango croissant. It's a pretty standard open market with seating spread throughout (I think there could be more in the common areas without it overcrowding).

Smorgasburg Los Angeles Sunday at THE ROW DTLA Smorgasburg LA, open every Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM, is a must-visit for food lovers. Get there early for free parking and to avoid the crowds. Here are my top picks and a few misses from my visits: Broad Street Oyster Co. * Standout lobster rolls * Fresh and delicious every time Sweetgrass (Sugarcane Drinks) * Every flavor is a winner * A must-try with each visit Softies Burger * Soft, buttery, flavorful burgers * Always a good choice Evil Cooks (Dessert Tacos) * Can't leave without trying * Delicious and unique dessert HGG (Tanghulu Fruit) * Chilled fruit with a crisp sugar coating * Refreshing and satisfying Kavahana (Kava Nectar) * Relaxing with a slight tingly sensation * Tasty and refreshing, especially the double Lobsterdamus * Tried the crab garlic noodles * Found them dry and bland Taste of the Pacific * Great shrimp and beef dishes * Can develop a line, but worth the wait URBN Pizza * Pizza crust was too burnt for my taste * Overall didn't impress Smorgasburg LA is family-friendly, with plenty of food and shopping. A bit pricey, but splurge on the lobster rolls, dessert tacos, and sugarcane drinks--they're worth it!

I LOVE SMORGASBURG LA! (Even though the correct spelling is Smorgasbord!) The definition of Smorgasbord is a "buffet offering a variety of hot and cold meats, salads, hors d'oeuvres, etc." and also "a wide range of something, a variety". Smorgasburg is located at The Row in DTLA, right off of Alameda. Smorgasburg only happens on Sundays. Parking is free for the first two hours in the parking structure. Admission is free as well. There are lots and lots of food vendors and the best part is the VARIETY. They are mostly small business owners, some with no store front who only do pop ups. A lot of them are regulars at Smorgasburg LA. There is something for everyone! I love supporting the various small business vendors that sell there. This venue is 100% outdoors. You place your order and wait for your food, then go grab a table. There tables in shade, under umbrellas, or you can step out of Smorgasburg and go hang out along The Row, there are plenty of seating areas. There's a DJ playing music, there is a center aisle selling goods of different kinds, there are plenty of vendors selling desserts and drinks. There really is something for everyone. The only downside to this and I won't even take a star away from this review, is the fact that it is on an asphalt and concrete loading dock area so it is HOT on warm days. I've only visited during warmer months so I hope to check it out this coming winter to see if there's a difference. Bring your $$$, it isn't cheap but the food is worth it!

Smorgasburg is so fun - it's near the Arts District/ DTLA area; tons and tons food trucks. We checked out a couple of vendors. Here's the food we tried: - Vegan Nachos - this was delicious, really hit the spot (5/5) - couldnt even tell it was vegan - Yuzu Oolong Tea - also incredible, wish i could remake this (5/5) - Oyster Mushroom slider - I was really excited for this but it was alright, couldnt taste the umaminess of the mushrooms but it was a solid burger (4/5) Next time I want to try the Kava truck! Lot of options to check out.
